Whether Cole Palmer was spotted in Chelsea training following awful tackle in the draw vs Manchester United
Cole Palmer was on the receiving end of a terrible tackle late in the game as Manchester United held Chelsea to a draw over the weekend.
Lisandro Martinez caught the England international high and managed to avoid a red card for the incident.
Dermot Gallagher attempted to justify the referee’s decision, but Chelsea has been left to question his health ahead of their next major Premier League encounter.
The Blues took Palmer for a scan following the game, the findings of which have yet to be announced.
Despite the fact that he is one of the first-team players who was not chosen to the Conference League group stages this season, he was expected to be seen in training with Romeo Lavia and Wesley Fofana, who were also excluded.
Cole Palmer was not seen at Chelsea training.
However, photographs on the 5th Stand app do not show Palmer in training during yesterday’s session, increasing concerns that he will be well enough to start against the Arsenal on Sunday.
Enzo Maresca will most likely be concerned about his team’s ability to move on without their most creative player. They would also miss their most prolific.
Joao Felix might replace the injured Cole Palmer.
Joao Felix has had to wait patiently for his Chelsea career to resume after rejoining the club. He has yet to start in the Premier League.
However, Felix appears to be the best possible alternative for Palmer in the Number 10 role, and he will be eager to leave no question in the manager’s mind that he is the man to look to when he starts tomorrow night in the Conference League against Noah.
