Chelsea
West Ham is certain that bringing in a former Chelsea player will boost their offensive output.
Transfer executives at West Ham United are now certain that bringing in a former Chelsea player might help them resurrect their assault in the face of manager Julen Lopetegui’s on-field difficulties and growing pressure at the London Stadium.
While Lopetegui fights for a job, West Ham is pursuing a new forward.
Despite spending more than £120 million during the summer transfer window on a number of new players for Lopetegui, the Hammers have not yet seen any return on their investment or their choice to hire the Spaniard.
With only three wins out of a possible eleven, West Ham is currently in 14th place in the Premier League. This is concerning for Lopetegui as rumors about his long-term future at the club persist. As tolerance with the 58-year-old wears thin, some have urged West Ham to fire Lopetegui now after the east Londoners’ on-field performances failed to impress both critics and supporters.

If West Ham choose to break with the former Real Madrid manager, they are also considering former FC Porto manager Sergio Conceicao as a possible replacement for Lopetegui. Given that West Ham now ranks among the top flight’s lowest goal-scoring teams, their offensive deficiencies are also rather obvious.
Since new acquisition Niclas Fullkrug is still battling to recover from a persistent achilles tendon injury, Lopetegui has been forced to rely on an older strike force in Michail Antonio and Danny Ings, both of whom have contracts expiring next summer.
With AC Milan attacker Christian Pulisic now firmly on their radar, Lopetegui has reportedly urged West Ham to use the January transfer market as a solution to this problem.
Pulisic might “revitalize” Lopetegui’s assault, according to West Ham.
West Ham is certain that acquiring Pulisic may “revitalize” Lopetegui’s assault, according to a Spanish media source. They have reportedly set their sights on signing the USA captain, who has performed admirably for the Rossoneri.
In 15 games across all competitions so far this season, the 26-year-old, who earned a Champions League medal while playing for Chelsea, has scored seven goals and provided five assists.
This season, Pulisic has also scored a goal against Liverpool and provided an assist against Real Madrid in Europe. His big-game playing experience could prove to be quite beneficial. Tim Steidten may need to make a significant financial investment in this transfer because Milan will obviously not leave with one of their most valuable assets for nothing. Pulisic was also called a “selfless leader” by former USA national team manager Gregg Berhalter.
