Other Teams
The £100k-a-week player has recently delivered a major update on his Everton future ahead of this summer.
Everton has lacked leaders during this barren, relegation-threatened period, with too many players content to hide behind one another when times were tough.
It was a collective lack of effort and passion that led in two near-misses when it came to avoiding the drop, and only since Sean Dyche’s arrival have they rediscovered those crucial aspects.
Surprisingly, the 52-year-old has accomplished this with a team mostly formed by other managers.
He did, however, inherit a few friendly faces, including James Tarkowski, who has settled in well at Everton and is now looking to reaffirm his affection for the club.
James Tarkowski offers an update on Everton’s future.
According to Everton’s official website, the £100k-per-week behemoth, who signed from Burnley on a free transfer, has quickly become one of the club’s best investments in recent memory.
He embodies the spirit of the Toffees with exceptional speed and is a demanding leader who will not back down from a tackle. That alone has made him a fan favourite among the Goodison faithful.
However, his most recent statement on his future is certain to just strengthen that affection, as he stated: ‘I’m feeling terrific about where I’m at. I want to play for as long as I can. I enjoy the game too much, being out on the practice field, and performing on weekends.
