According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Dan Friedkin will take over ownership of Everton on Tuesday, June 18, after purchasing the club from Farhad Moshiri.

On 17 June, the Italian media announced on their website that the Roma chief’s purchase of the Toffees would be made official within the following 24 hours, citing information directly from Merseyside.

Friedkin, an American film producer, beat a crowded field to become Moshiri’s preferred bidder, with challenger Vatche Manoukian conceding defeat.

MSP Sports Capital, Vici Private Finance, and two Everton businessmen, George Downing and Andy Bell, all submitted bids for the club when the prior agreement with 777 Partners fell through.

Andy Bell, George Downing, and MSP Sports Capital are beaten in Everton takeover competition.
Following a reported agreement in principle between Friedkin and Moshiri last week [BBC Sport, 14 June], the next stage was supposed to be the announcement of an exclusivity period for the American.

However, even once that development is completed, Premier League approval and the owners and directors exam must be passed.

So, unless significant work has been made behind the scenes, it would be surprising if the change of ownership could be made official just yet.
777 were unable to get league approval for a full 37 weeks last season after being granted exclusivity by Moshiri because to a lack of appropriate financing, with the repayment of £158 million in debts from creditors such as MSP, Bell, and Downing being a particular challenge.
