Chelsea are reportedly close to recruiting another young potential for new manager Enzo Maresca ahead of the 2018 Premier League season.

Blues miss out on Olise.
For the second summer in a row, it appears that Chelsea will not sign Michael Olise. The Blues were interested in the Crystal Palace player last summer, but he signed a new contract at Selhurst Park. They tried to sign the Frenchman again a year later, but Bayern Munich swooped in for the winger, who scored 10 goals in 19 games last season.

It comes as a setback to the Blues, who are now looking for another winger before the new season to give backup for teenage duo Noni Madueke and Mykhailo Mudyrk, both of whom have been hot and cold at Stamford Bridge.

First, they appear to be focused on reinforcing their No.9 position, with Romelu Lukaku reportedly on the market, and have made a move for another young player.

Chelsea’s search for a new striker has now been updated with a move for Barcelona prodigy Marc Guiu. The attacker has struggled for first-team opportunities at Barcelona, but he has taken them when they have been available.

In fact, he became the youngest player in Catalan history to score on his debut for the club earlier this season, netting a winner against Athletic Bilbao just 23 seconds after being brought on as a substitute.

It was the first of seven outings under Xavi last season, during which he made two starts and scored once more, but his last came in March.
