Everton defender Ben Godfrey will fly to Atalanta for a medical on Friday (28 June), according to Dharmesh Sheth.
On Thursday (June 27), a Sky Sports journalist revealed via X that Atalanta and Everton had reached an agreement to sign the 26-year-old.
Atalanta will pay the Toffees an initial cost of £8.4 million, with a further £1.7 million in add-ons.

This will come as a great boost for Godfrey, who will undoubtedly be pleased about the prospect of playing in the UEFA Champions League next season.
Atalanta qualified for Europe’s highest competition with their UEFA Europa League victory last month.
It is a terrific move for Godfrey, as well as for the Toffees, who gain a much-needed cash boost at the expense of a player who saw little action under Sean Dyche last season.
Godfrey only appeared 15 times in the Premier League for Everton and will expect to play much more consistently with his new club.
Godfrey will leave the Toffees after nearly four years with the club, having joined from Norwich City in 2020.
