Break News; Fans of Arsenal taunt Harry Kane as Bayern Munich loses on the final day of the Bundesliga for the third time.
Arsenal supporters used the opportunity to make light of Harry Kane’s trophy-free debut season at Bayern Munich.
The England captain has had an amazing 2023–24 season on the individual front, tallying an astounding 44 goals and dishing out 12 assists in just 45 matches.
Naturally, though, the striker relocated from Tottenham to Munich with the intention of finally ending his trophy drought, but he hasn’t been successful.
Bayern unexpectedly lost the German Cup to third-tier team Saarbrucken after losing the German Super Cup 3-0 to RB Leipzig in his debut.
They were only minutes away from facing Real Madrid in the Champions League final, but two last-minute goals from Joselu sent Real Madrid to Wembley instead. Bayer Leverkusen also ended their 11-year Bundesliga reign.
Leverkusen, led by spectacular player Xabi Alonso, defeated Augsburg 2-1 to become the first club in history to finish the Bundesliga season undefeated. Now, the squad is two games away from an unprecedented “invincible treble.”
Kane was not there for Bayern’s season-ending away match against Hoffenheim, when they jumped out to a 2-0 lead in only six minutes but lost 4-2.
In light of the outcome and Stuttgart’s 4-0 victory over Borussia Monchengladbach, Bayern dropped to third place in the standings, their lowest since 2011.
The news was met with excitement by fans of Arsenal and other teams in England and throughout the globe. One fan, @dhur1m, tweeted, “Kane has the worst luck in football history.”
Kane departing Spurs was stated by West Stand13. makes Bayern become Spurs… “At this point, it’s just superb,” said @sir_obafoluke. I do not believe Tottenham was the issue.
Others were quick to point out that Kane’s search for club trophy will last until at least May 2025 because Bayern will not participate in the German Super Cup after placing third.
@a_abbkr said, “Bro lost another 2024/25 trophy before the season started,” to which @__T_touch responded with sympathy: “God, I feel bad for this guy.”
“[Daniel] When Levy refused to let him transfer to Man City, he treated him badly. It doesn’t appear promising for him. He won’t likely win the UCL while he’s still with Bayern.
