Chicago, IL – The Chicago Bears announced today that Head Coach Matt Eberflus will be undergoing emergency surgery and will be unable to fulfill his coaching duties for the foreseeable future. In his absence, Offensive Coordinator Luke Getsy has been named Interim Head Coach.

Luke Getsy joined the Bears in 2022 as Offensive Coordinator under Head Coach Matt Eberflus. Prior to his time in Chicago, he served as the Quarterbacks Coach for the Green Bay Packers from 2019-2021.
