Bruno Fernandes sends message to Jadon Sancho after ex-Manchester United flop makes Chelsea debut.
Jadon Sancho made a positive start at Chelsea.
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes expressed his support for Jadon Sancho following his impressive debut for his new club.
Sancho joined Chelsea on loan from Manchester United on deadline day, following three nightmare years at Old Trafford.
While the English winger did not start against Bournemouth on Sunday, he made an immediate impact from the bench, causing problems down the left and setting up Christopher Nkunku to score the winner in the 86th minute.
After the game, Sancho took to Instagram to celebrate the team’s victory, writing, ‘Delighted to make my Chelsea debut and to top it off with a win!’
Fernandes, Sancho’s former captain, was among the players who expressed their support in the comments, with the Portuguese star responding: “Some player you.” Keep that smile.
After the game, Sancho, who was named player of the match, told Sky Sports: “First and foremost, it is incredible to make my debut for Chelsea.” I’m grateful to be back playing.
‘The team played extremely well, and we are pleased with the three points. I worked hard for this opportunity, and I’m glad I got it.

‘I had a fantastic end to last season, playing in the Champions League. I hoped to get off to a good start this season, and I’m pleased.
‘I’d like to thank the staff and teammates. They made me feel welcome the first day I came in, and I’m overjoyed to be so comfortable.
After seeing his Red Devils’ career crumble following a public spat with Erik ten Hag, Blues manager Enzo Maresca said he wanted to help the 24-year-old get back to his best.
‘I have the impression that Jadon is a guy who needs to feel loved,’ Maresca said at full-time.
‘This is what I thought when I talked to him before he joined us. He also wants to show who he is as a player.
‘But for me, he just needs to enjoy football. It’s the reason they play: they’re happy and want to enjoy football. Then, because they’re good, they will do good things.
