Chelsea has a number of players on its roster, including fellow centre-backs Wesley Fofana, Axel Disasi, and summer signing Tosin Adarabioyo.
The club is said to have taken the decision to leave Chalobah at home very seriously.
Chalobah has been at Chelsea for 17 years, having joined at the age of eight.
Chalobah signed a professional deal in 2018, but had to wait three years for his senior Blues debut after being loaned out three times.
In his debut appearance, he helped Chelsea win the Super Cup, defeating Villarreal in the final.
Despite failing to establish himself as a regular starter for Chelsea, Chalobah has previously sparked interest from Bayern Munich and West Ham.
The 25-year-old is presently bound to Chelsea until 2028, having signed a new long-term contract in November 2022, making him more difficult to sell.
Chelsea’s tour of the United States begins with a match against Wrexham in the early hours of Thursday morning, followed by a game against Celtic on Saturday evening.
They then face Mexican outfit Club America on August 1 before taking on Manchester City on Saturday, August 3. Chelsea will then play Real Madrid (August 7) before returning to the UK to face Inter Milan on August 11.
The west London club begins their Premier League campaign with a trip to defending champions Manchester City on Sunday, August 18.
