Arsenal face Chelsea on Sunday, and while the Blues are mainly healthy, Matt Law of The Telegraph says that Cole Palmer will undergo a scan to rule out the chance of an injury.

Palmer was on the receiving end of a hefty challenge by Lisandro Martinez when playing against Manchester United at the weekend, leaving stud marks on his knee.

The midfielder limped away from Old Trafford, and his knee stayed uncomfortable throughout Chelsea’s return to London.

Chelsea hopes that the soreness will subside and that he has not sustained any significant injuries that will rule him out of the Arsenal game. Palmer will not play for the Blues in their Europa Conference League match in midweek since he has not been named to their roster for the competition.

With so many players at Chelsea, some had to be sacrificed, and the Conference League was clearly seen as an opportunity to give Palmer a rest.

Jadon Sancho was also ill last week and had to miss a few days of training. However, the winger should be back in contention for Chelsea’s clash on Thursday.

Sancho’s participation in that game would provide a definite answer as to his availability against Arsenal.

Aside from that, Chelsea has a fully fit and available squad to face Arsenal.
