Dallas Cowboys Announce Massive AT&T Stadium Upgrade with Expanded Capacity and Enhanced Fan Experience… but One Surprising Change Has Left Fans Split
The Dallas Cowboys have officially unveiled plans for a massive renovation project at AT&T Stadium, aimed at expanding its seating capacity and significantly upgrading the fan experience — but not every detail of the plan has been met with cheers.
According to the announcement released by team owner Jerry Jones on Sunday morning, the ambitious redevelopment will increase the stadium’s capacity by approximately 10,000 seats, making it one of the largest stadiums in the NFL. The renovations will also introduce a state-of-the-art fan zone, immersive digital experiences, improved concessions, and upgraded VIP suites.
Construction is expected to begin in early 2026 during the offseason and will be completed in phases over the next two years, ensuring minimal disruption to regular season games.
However, one particular change has sparked mixed reactions from fans — the removal of the iconic standing-room-only “Party Pass” areas. Long beloved by die-hard supporters looking for a more affordable and energetic experience, these sections are being repurposed to make way for premium seating and digital fan
Others welcomed the shift, saying it was time the team modernized the stadium. “It’s a world-class venue already, but this will make it the absolute best. The Cowboys deserve nothing less,” said Crystal Garza, a fan visiting from El Paso.
The team has promised to include community feedback throughout the redevelopment process and hinted that more announcements, including technological integrations and fan engagement upgrades, will be revealed in the coming weeks.
As the Cowboys prepare for a new season, this bold move signals not just a renovation of a stadium — but a redefining of what it means to attend a game in Dallas.
