The Philadelphia Eagles continue to find ways to win as a team, allowing them to prioritize DeVonta Smith’s recovery. The star wide receiver will miss his second straight game with a hamstring injury, sitting out a high-profile Week 13 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.

Despite Smith’s absence, the Eagles remain dominant, boasting a 9-2 record and a seven-game winning streak, keeping the NFC’s top playoff seed within reach. Smith joins six other inactive players for the game, including fellow receiver Johnny Wilson, cornerback Darius Slay, and offensive linemen Darian Kinnard, Nick Gates, and Trevor Keegan. Quarterback Tanner McKee is designated as the emergency third QB.

Smith, who didn’t practice all week, has seen a recent decline in production, with just six receptions for 43 yards over his last two games. Still, the fourth-year receiver has been a consistent playmaker since being drafted 10th overall in 2021, amassing over 1,000 receiving yards in back-to-back seasons. The Eagles rewarded him with a three-year, $75 million extension in 2024.

While Smith rests, the Eagles remain formidable. Running back Saquon Barkley leads the league with 1,392 rushing yards and is building an MVP case. Quarterback Jalen Hurts is in top form, and All-Pro receiver A.J. Brown continues to shine with 727 yards and four touchdowns in eight games. Even without Smith, Philadelphia’s dynamic offense will pose a significant challenge for the Ravens’ defense.
