Enzo Maresca praised three Chelsea players during preseason training.
As pre-season begins at Cobham, Chelsea’s new boss has been hard at work.
Enzo Maresca has been getting to know his new players as he prepares for their forthcoming tour of the United States, which will prepare them for the Premier League season.
He has been able to welcome back some players who spent the majority of the previous season on the treatment table. Wesley Fofana is among those who have previously been photographed involved.
A video emerged from Maresca’s first session, in which he began to communicate some of his managerial philosophies to the players.
As the physical side of things progressed to more ballwork yesterday, the manager appeared delighted with what he observed, particularly from a few individual players.
Maresca praises Ben Chilwell, Noni Madueke, and Levi Colwill during training.
In a video released to the club’s Twitter page, the Italian can be heard praising Ben Chilwell, Noni Madueke, and Levi Colwill for some of their efforts.
This season appears to be a huge one for a number of players at Stamford Bridge, and the vice-captain in particular has to bounce back.
Marc Cucurella appears to have taken his position in the starting lineup, following up on his good finish to the club season with an impressive run of performances for Spain at Euro 2024.
Colwill appears to be destined to play a vital part at the center of defence next season, rather than left-back, as he did under former manager Mauricio Pochettino.
With the addition of a new winger, it might also be a vital season for Madueke’s future at Chelsea.
