Erik Ten Hag’s future at Man United has not yet been determined.

In the upcoming days, Manchester United will ultimately determine whether to retain or remove manager Erik ten Hag.

After Ten Hag had been with the team for two years, there was a well-researched report in the English media on Friday stating that United had already decided to let him go.

But on Saturday, the Dutchman led United to a thrilling 2-1 victory over Manchester City to win the FA Cup at Wembley Stadium and earn a spot in the Europa League for the following campaign.

The win also marked Ten Hag’s second title at Old Trafford in the previous two years, and it’s possible that it made the United administration reconsider their course of action before making such a significant choice.

Ten Hag is obviously more vulnerable now that United had such a horrible conclusion to their Premier League season—finishing in eighth place, the lowest position they have ever held in the competition’s 32-year existence.

Ten Hag has never received any public assurances from Sir Jim Ratcliffe, United’s new co-owner who acquired a 27.7% part in the team in February of this year, that he will stay the team’s manager for the upcoming campaign.

Ratcliffe did not mention Ten Hag by name in the statement he published following United’s FA Cup victory, choosing instead to commend “the staff who work tirelessly to support their team.”

When Ratcliffe was seen leaving the game and making his way to United’s locker room in the mixed zone area of Wembley, someone asked him if Ten Hag was staying. He hesitated for a moment before choosing not to respond.
