Verton are anxious to strengthen their striking squad during the summer transfer season, and Armando Broja is one of their top targets.

According to a report in Spanish daily AS (12 June, page 6), the Toffees are considering making a bid of around £25.2 million to recruit the Chelsea striker this summer.

Along with Everton, several European teams such as AC Milan and Wolfsburg have expressed an interest in the 22-year-old forward, and all are prepared to make an official move.

Broja has a prospective agreement, but they must first acquire finances to win his signature.

Broja has struggled to make an impact at Stamford Bridge and spent the second half of last season on loan with Fulham.

Everton should forget about signing Armando Broja.
Broja is an explosive striker, but the price tag for him is far too high. He has not scored enough goals in his career to command such a large transfer cost, therefore Everton should keep out of the race unless they can get him on loan or on aFurthermore, they may have to sell Dominic Calvert-Lewin to make room for new arrivals.

Calvert-Lewin has struggled with injuries, but when fully fit, he is one of the best players around. Last season, he had seven goals.

The issue is that his present contract has only 12 months left. If he does not sign a contract extension, the Toffees will be forced to sell the England striker. With Everton still looking for a new owner, it’s uncertain how the club will approach the summer window.

Given their financial difficulties, it’s astonishing that the Toffees are still planning such an enticing bid for Broja. Everton may potentially contemplate a cash-plus-swap deal for the striker, with Calvert-Lewin going the opposite way.
