According to reports, Roma owner Dan Friedkin has indicated interest in purchasing Premier League team Everton from Farhad Moshiri.

The British-Iranian investor has been hunting for a buyer for the Toffees for some time, and Genoa owners 777 Partners appeared to be on the verge of finalising a deal for the English club after agreeing to buy 94% of Moshiri’s shares in September 2023.

Inter logo Everton received a £200 million loan from 777 Partners to address financial issues, but were unable to meet Premier League ownership requirements, leading to their withdrawal from the competition. Their exclusivity on a contract has now expired, allowing other parties to become involved.

According to Sky Sports UK, Roma owner Friedkin is among those interested in purchasing Everton from Moshiri, along with five other firms.

The American billionaire has an estimated net worth of £4.8 billion and has managed to stabilize affairs in the Italian city since his arrival in 2020.
