Fijian Drua Announce 2025 Super Rugby Squad with Co-Captains Ikanivere and Lomani
The Fijian Drua have officially unveiled their 41-member squad for the 2025 Super Rugby Pacific season, with a historic leadership shift that sees hooker Tevita Ikanivere and halfback Frank Lomani appointed as co-captains for the campaign.
Ikanivere, the most capped player in Drua history with 38 appearances, returns as a consistent leader. He is second on the club’s all-time try-scoring list and has proven his value both on and off the field. Meanwhile, Lomani, one of the most experienced members of the squad, brings 53 Super Rugby matches to his name—28 of those in Drua colors—and is one of only two players in the team to have surpassed 100 Super Rugby Pacific points.
Head Coach Glen Jackson expressed confidence in the squad, emphasizing a strong balance between returning core players and fresh talent. Notable new additions include several overseas-based players such as Flying Fijian prop Peni Ravai and center Inia Tabuavou from Racing 92, aiming to add depth and versatility across key positions.
The Drua’s 2025 season will include seven home matches—four in Suva at HFC Bank Stadium and three in Lautoka at Churchill Park. Their highly anticipated first home game is set for February 15, 2025, against the Brumbies in Suva.
With strengthened leadership and an upgraded squad, the Fijian Drua are looking to elevate their performance and make a serious statement in the 2025 Super Rugby Pacific season.
