Footage of Bukayo Saka Emerges Following Injury During England’s 1-2 Greece
England and Arsenal fans are concerned when footage of Bukayo Saka limping following the Three Lions’ 2-1 loss to Greece on Thursday night appeared on social media. The Premier League star has been nothing short of fantastic for Arsenal in recent weeks. Following Martin Odegaard’s injury, he stepped up and delivered a string of outstanding performances for Mikel Arteta’s team.
Saka has only scored three goals this season, but he has provided an assist in all but one of his Premier League outings. It indicates how effective he has been in providing opportunities for his colleagues. If Arsenal are to finally go all the way under Arteta and dethrone Manchester City,
Unfortunately, England’s humiliating loss to Greece isn’t the only item causing alarm among fans after Thursday night. The video of Saka exiting Wembley Stadium has gone viral on social media.
Saka was seen limping out of the arena, leaving fans concerned for the talented winger.
Following a promising start under Lee Carsley, England were brought crashing down to earth during their encounter against Greece, losing 2-1 at Wembley Stadium. Vangelis Pavlidis scored twice, including a goal in the 94th minute, to seal the victory for Ivan Jovanovic’s team. When Jude Bellingham leveled in the 88th minute, the Three Lions had a small moment of hope, but it was short-lived as the Benfica forward scored late on.
However, England fans were concerned about more than simply the game. Saka was replaced early in the second half by Noni Madueke. He was clearly struggling, therefore the decision was made to replace him with the Chelsea figurine.
Concerns over his fitness only grew as video of the Arsenal player walking out of Wembley Stadium went viral on social media. Watch the video below.
Carsley revealed Saka was being assessed.
He could miss some big Arsenal games.
Seeing Saka leave the game in that manner and then stagger out of Wembley as shown in the video would have many fans concerned, but Carsley had no definite information regarding the incident later. Speaking at a post-match press conference, the manager explained that his forward’s condition was still being analyzed, but he could tell there were problems before he was removed. He said:
“He is being assessed. He could feel something in his leg leading up to the first goal.”
The words will do little to alleviate any fears that Arsenal fans may have. The club’s next round of fixtures might influence the rest of the season, and with Odegaard already out, losing Saka could be terrible. As a result, Gunners fans have expressed their concerns on social media, with one fan on X (Twitter) writing: “Get him back to Arsenal immediately,” and another writing: “I really hope it’s nothing serious at all.”
One supporter is still hopeful for a favorable ending, saying, “Let’s pray it’s nothing too bad.”
