Head Coach Mike Macdonald Provides Critical Injury Update on Key Player Amid Seahawks’ O-Line Struggles
SEATTLE – The Seattle Seahawks secured a 16-6 win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday but faced another setback on their offensive line.
Starting right guard Anthony Bradford injured his ankle during the opening series and did not return. Head coach Mike Macdonald confirmed it’s not broken, though Bradford is expected to miss at least a week. Bradford, a second-year starter with 20 games under his belt, was carted off the field and later seen on the sideline in street clothes, a walking boot, and crutches.
Rookie Christian Haynes, a third-round pick, stepped in to play right guard for the remainder of the game. Bradford and Haynes had competed for the starting job earlier in the season, with Bradford solidifying his role in Week 9. His injury adds to the challenges for Seattle’s offensive line, which has already dealt with significant injuries at right tackle, including losing backup George Fant and third-stringer Stone Forsythe to IR.
Aside from Bradford’s setback, the Seahawks avoided major injuries. Cornerback Riq Woolen briefly left after a big play but returned shortly after.
