“I always try to” – Cole Palmer expresses his desire to play every time he steps on the pitch.
Cole Palmer is the man of the moment, and he recently revealed what he aims to do every time he takes the field.
Palmer won another title to his expanding collection on Tuesday when he was voted England Player of the Year, becoming the first Blue to win the award since Ashley Cole in 2010.
The 22-year-old has taken up where he left off last season, scoring six goals and providing five assists in his opening seven games.
Palmer on what he wants to do every time he’s on the pitch
The England international has risen quickly to the top of the game, scoring 44 goals since the start of last season, more than any other Premier League player.
The debate has centered on whether Palmer is one of the finest players in the world and the best in the Premier League, but he seems to take it all in stride and appears unconcerned by anything.

After being selected England Player of the Year, Palmer spoke about what it meant to him and what he aims to do every time he plays.
“I’d like to thank the fans; being voted by the entire country is an honor,” he told the England website.
“I constantly strive to excite people with my playing style. I want to take risks and explore new things. I believe that is how the fans want to see me play, and I try to play as if I were a fan out on the field.
That means trying to score goals and get people out of their chairs.”
Palmer made his England debut in November 2023 and now has nine caps and two goals for the Three Lions. He will be seeking to secure a regular starting spot in the team after not starting a single game at Euro 2024.
