Jadon Sancho has chosen Chelsea as his preferred next club, with Manchester United’s ‘agreement’ at risk of collapse.

The race for Jadon Sancho is becoming one of the most dramatic stories of the transfer window, with Chelsea and Juventus competing for the Manchester United winger.

Despite the fact that the 23-year-old settled his differences with manager Erik ten Hag this summer, the Red Devils have been willing to sanction his departure.

Sancho was dropped from the Manchester United squad last season and was eventually loaned out to Borussia Dortmund in January, where he performed admirably and helped the club reach the Champions League final.

Juventus has been chasing Sancho all summer and has stepped up their pursuit in recent days as they look for a replacement for Liverpool’s Federico Chiesa.

Multiple reputable sources claimed earlier today (Wednesday) that Juventus had reached an agreement with Manchester United to sign Sancho on a season-long loan, with a buyout clause included.

However, the move is contingent on the player’s approval, according to The Guardian; Sancho has yet to accept the move to Juventus.

Jadon Sancho wants to move to Chelsea.
According to the Guardian, Sancho is ‘holding out for an offer from Chelsea’ as he considers his next move.
As previously reported, the Blues have held talks with Manchester United about a swap deal for Sancho that would see Raheem Sterling join the Red Devils.

Manchester United have shown little interest in left-back Ben Chilwell, who Chelsea has also offered them as part of the deal.

And little progress has been made in moving Sterling, but it is claimed that Chelsea is still in the running to sign Sancho in a’separate deal.’

Sancho has ‘indicated his preference’ to join Chelsea rather than Juventus, and has thus declined to join the Italian club for the time being.

“If we have to sign a player just for the sake of signing, I don’t want it,” said the Chelsea manager.

“But if we can sign a player who can help us, I definitely want it. Jadon and I have a long history of working together at [Manchester] City. I know him very well. But he isn’t one of our players. “We’ll see what happens.”

Manchester United have been holding out for around £40 million for Sancho, and their asking price is not thought to have changed.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are working on a deal for Napoli centre-forward Victor Osimhen, and TEAMtalk sources say they are growing in confidence that they will sign the Nigerian.
