Manchester City are apparently considering Sporting CP manager Ruben Amorim as a possible successor to Pep Guardiola if he leaves.

Guardiola’s contract expires at the end of the season, and he has publicly refused to pledge his future to the club where he has won six Premier League titles and one Champions League.

With the FA viewing him as their ‘dream goal’ to succeed Gareth Southgate as England manager, despite current talks with Thomas Tuchel, Guardiola’s head may turn, and City will need a plan.
