It was revealed on Saturday that Seagulls manager Roberto De Zerbi will step down following the game. Meanwhile, United manager Erik ten Hag is still the subject of rumors that he would be fired this summer.

The Dutchman’s season has been tough because his team was eliminated from the Champions League at the group stage and is presently ranked ninth in the Premier League standings.

When United plays Manchester City in the FA Cup final later this month, they still have an opportunity to win a trophy this season, but it’s unclear if Ten Hag will be leading the team the following season. Meanwhile, it looks like at least one midfield player will be departing Old Trafford this summer.

At the conclusion of the current campaign, on-loan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat will rejoin home club Fiorentina, according a report from Football Insider.

The Morocco international signed a season-long loan agreement with United last summer, which included a £21.4 million option to buy, but according to the report, United has chosen not to exercise it.

Amrabat, 27, has so far this season made 28 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions, 20 of which have been in the Premier League.

The Moroccan made an impression for his nation in Qatar during the 2022 World Cup, advancing the African team to the tournament’s semifinals.

Due to his outstanding play, United paid Fiorentina £8.5 million to sign the midfield player on loan for the current season.

However, the report states that United’s management has opted against pursuing a permanent transfer since they are dissatisfied with the player’s performances since coming to Manchester.
