“Returning to Arsenal would be fantastic” – Young striker already eyeing Gunners return after departing
Mika Biereth has acknowledged that he would be pleased to return to Arsenal at some stage, despite having only left permanently this summer.
After scoring his first goal for his country in the U21s’ 5-0 victory over Czechia U21s, the striker spoke with Danish TV2 about his future career plans.
The 21-year-old has been in excellent form this season, scoring seven goals and one assist in nine games for Sturm Graz in the Austrian Bundesliga, as well as one goal in two OFB Cup matches.
They’re overjoyed with their summer decision to sign him on a permanent basis from Arsenal after he spent the second half of last season on loan there.
He had been with Arsenal since July 2021, when he joined from Fulham’s U18s, but despite a record of 12 goals and five assists in 26 U21 games, he was yet to make an impact at the Emirates.
In the second half of the season, he was loaned out to RKC Waalwijk, Motherwell, and Sturm Graz.
They paid a lot of money to sign him permanently this summer, paying €4.7 million in a club record transaction that broke a 23-year-old record.
Things are going well, but he says his thoughts are always on the future, and he would love to return to Arsenal if given the opportunity.
“Things are going well in Sturm Graz,” he informed me.
“I have nothing.”
