the Red Devils are interested in signing Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite.

United are huge fans of the centre-back, who was recently named to England’s training squad for Euro 2024.

Recruiting at the heart of defence has been identified as a priority for the FA Cup winners, and the 21-year-old is among the names being explored regardless of who manages the club next season.

However, despite looking for a solid defensive midfielder and striker this summer, United must be fiscally prudent in the upcoming transfer window and supplement their spending power through sells.

Everton is estimated to value Branthwaite between £60 million and £70 million, as they must sell one of their primary assets by the end of June to comply with PSR.Amadou Onana, another player who could command a high fee, is yet to be linked with a move.Branthwaite has excelled for Everton this season

Branthwaite may become the more probable player to receive bids before June 30, and he has also been tracked by Manchester City and Tottenham.

Spurs were highly interested in signing Branthwaite before the January transfer window, but instead bought Radu Dragusin from Genoa, however they do want another centre-back this summer.

City may consider him if they lose a center-back this summer, but that is not expected to happen at the moment.
