One Arsenal player has acknowledged that he has registered with a new agency, amid speculation that he would be sold this summer.

The Gunners haven’t been particularly active in terms of new acquisitions this season, but they have been able to move a few players on.

Mohamed Elneny and Cedric Soares were released after their contracts expired in June, while Albert Sambi Lokonga and Nuno Tavares were loaned out.

Arsenal are anticipated to release a few more players between now and the end of the summer transfer season.

One player who has been linked with a move away from the Emirates has recently signed new agents.

Oleksandr Zinchenko reveals he has new agents amid Arsenal leave speculation.
Arsenal bought Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City during the summer of 2022.

The Ukrainian international quickly became a fan favourite at the Emirates Stadium. He even had his own song after only a few weeks at the club.

Zinchenko was instrumental in helping Arsenal become championship challengers in the 2022/23 season, and his expertise remains invaluable to all of the club’s younger players.

However, the 27-year-old suffered several injuries during the 2023/24 season, and his defending was much criticized.

That has raised questions about his future, with rumors claiming that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has put Zinchenko on the ‘chopping board’ this summer.

Bayern Munich has been connected with a transfer for Zinchenko, while Newcastle United is also reportedly interested in him.

To add fuel to the fire, Arsenal’s number 35 has revealed that he has changed agencies.

“Proud to begin this new chapter with Unique Football Agency. Let’s get started,” he posted on Instagram.

Zinchenko’s Arsenal future hinges on his teammates.
Zinchenko is certainly no longer Arsenal’s first choice left back.

The Ukrainian, dubbed ‘unbelievable’ by Kevin De Bruyne, fell behind Jakub Kiwior and Takehiro Tomiyasu in the rankings. Jurrien Timber may also be ahead of him.

Arsenal has been connected with a desire to sign Riccardo Calafiori, and if he signs, the Italian will most likely play left-back as well.

That minimizes the need for Zinchenko, but he may still stay.

That is, if Kiwior, who shares many similarities with Calafiori, leaves the club. The Pole’s departure would allow Zinchenko to preserve his spot in the squad, although as the second choice.

It will be intriguing to see what happens to Zinchenko in the next weeks.
