Liverpool
Another Liverpool player signed by Jurgen Klopp is currently browsing LinkedIn for a new team.
After departing fifth-tier Spanish club Malaga City earlier this month, Steven Caulker, who signed with Liverpool on loan in January 2016, has not been affiliated with a club.
After spending time in Spain’s fifth division, former Liverpool and Tottenham defender Steven Caulker is looking for a new team via an appeal on LinkedIn.
After accepting a player-manager position at the British-run Malaga City on the Costa del Sol in December, Caulker was forced to resign earlier this month because his work permit was delayed. The 32-year-old returned to England in search of his next opportunity as a result of this.
He made the following message on the professional networking site: “LinkedIn family, please work your magic… In preparation for the 2024–2025 season, I am searching for a new club. I would rather teach, but I’m not ruling out playing. I’m keeping myself busy with one-on-one coaching, mentoring, and public speaking as I search for a good fit.”
A picture of Caulker and former England manager Roy Hodgson accompanied his message. In November 2012, he scored during a 4-2 defeat to Sweden on his one and only England cap. During the 2012 Olympics, Caulker also competed for Great Britain. Later, he moved to represent Sierra Leone, where he amassed 13 caps.
After spending time on loan at Yeovil, Bristol City, and Swansea, Caulker started his professional career with Tottenham. In the 2012–13 season, he made his debut for the Spurs first team. The next summer, he moved for a then-record £8 million to Cardiff.
