Blues: In order to finalize the Estevao Willian transfer, Chelsea personnel will be represented at Palmeiras’ match against Independiente del Valle tonight.
To finalize a deal for Estevao Willian, Chelsea representatives will be present at tonight’s Copa Libertadores match between Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A team Palmeiras and Ecuadorian Serie A club Independiente del Valle, according to Brazilian site Universo Online.
The 17-year-old and the Blues have been in negotiations, and it should be possible to acquire his talents for roughly £27.5 million with significant add-ons.
As Chelsea continues to prepare for the future at Stamford Bridge, they have been observing a number of South American talents and prodigies, including the offensive midfielder from Palmeiras. The teenage prodigy wants to transfer to London.
Chelsea is eager to hire Estevao, often known as Messinho, or Little Messi in Portuguese, even though he cannot sign with a European team until he reaches 18 in April of next year.
Messinho is desired by both Arsenal and Barcelona, but it seems the Blues are first in line, and a deal may be finalized in the next few hours.
When he turns 18 in July, his teammate Endrick will sign with Real Madrid, and he may shortly follow suit and land a transfer to one of the major European teams.
The left-footed right winger might be the next in line for Chelsea, who have been bringing in young players over previous transfer windows.
Messinho, who plays in a similar manner to the Belgian, has established himself in Brazil and has the potential to follow Eden Hazard to Stamford Bridge.
After scoring in a 3-1 victory over Uruguayan team Liverpool last month, he became the third player under the age of 17 to score in the Copa Libertadores. The Blues may be ready to recruit a genuine talent capable of lighting up the Premier League.
