RB Leipzig defeated stiff competition to snag Schalke 04 starlet Assan Ouedraogo in a deal worth roughly £8 million.

Last season, the 18-year-old midfielder made 17 appearances for Schalke in Bundesliga 2, scoring three goals and assisting twice. Ouedraogo’s achievements soon piqued the interest of other European clubs, and he has elected to remain in Germany, signing a five-year contract with Leipzig.
