Everton have begun to pursue Chelsea forward Armando Broja in the last 24 to 48 hours, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Italian transfer specialist stated on his YouTube channel on Friday (28 June) that numerous interested clubs have begun to make a move for the Albanian, with the PSR deadline of 30 June approaching this weekend.

According to AS, Chelsea values the 22-year-old at slightly more over £25 million, and with PSR certain to have an impact on the Toffees’ transfer plans in the coming days, the club may try to step up their chase of Broja [Ben Jacobs].

“Keep an eye on Armando Broja, since I’ve heard that several clubs are interested. Clubs such as Everton and others have begun to move about Broja in the previous 24-48 hours, so there may be action this weekend,” he stated.

“We know that, with financial fair play, this weekend is crucial for many clubs.”

Everton to sign Chelsea striker Armando Broja soon.
While Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s transfer to Newcastle United failed, the forward is still being linked.

This would leave Sean Dyche without a genuine number nine, while the addition of Iliman Ndiaye from Marseille will undoubtedly alleviate concerns about the side’s goal total [Fabrizio Romano].

Despite missing much of the 2023/24 season, Calvert-Lewin finished with seven league goals, including four in his last seven games to help the Toffees stay in the Premier League.

He was the team’s leading goalscorer, tied with Abdoulaye Doucoure, who was also unavailable for several weeks due to an injury, indicating a severe problem in front of goal.

In fact, only Sheffield United scored less goals than Everton in the Premier League, and the team is desperate for a goal scorer.

Transfer rumours involving Broja have done little to sway the Goodison Park faithful, with the forward’s last Premier League goal coming in October of last year during a 2-0 victory over Fulham.
