A new report suggests Everton might acquire a ‘promising’ winger who scored six Premier League goals last season for less than £8.4 million.

Despite an eight-point deduction, Sean Dyche’s team managed to avoid relegation quite comfortably last season.

The onus is now on Dyche to steer the team back to a mid-table finish, and he’ll need to be supported in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Finances are expected to be tight, but they can recruit an exciting winger for less than £8.4 million.

Everton may sign Jacob Bruun Larsen for less than £8.4 million.
According to Sport Bild, Everton are interested in signing Hoffenheim winger Jacob Bruun Larsen this summer.

The 25-year-old had a solid loan spell at Burnley last season, scoring six goals in the Premier League despite being part of a relegated team.

Having returned to the Bundesliga, it is certain that he will be transferred, and West Ham United is another club interested in his services.

Hoffenheim have put Bruun Larsen up for sale and may allow him to depart for less than £8.4 million, which appears to be a reasonable amount for Everton to pay, given their financial difficulties.

Bruun Larsen’s FBref numbers are pretty outstanding, therefore it’s not surprising that Everton is interested in him.

The ‘promising’ wide player is in the top 1% of his positional contemporaries across Europe in terms of progressive carries, demonstrating his exceptional dribbling abilities.

Furthermore, he is in the top 8% of successful takeovers, which only reinforces that impression.

Clearly, his underlying statistics are really excellent, and if he can simply improve his productivity, Everton could get one of the best deals of the window.
