How True is This; The Trent Alexander-Arnold update from Fabrizio Romano isn’t positive.

It’s no secret that Real Madrid is fond of Trent Alexander-Arnold; in fact, a number of connections over the past year or so have indicated that the Spanish champions envision the England international as Dani Carvajal’s long-term replacement.

The contract of the 32-year-old Spanish player expires in the summer of 2025, which also happens to be Trent’s Liverpool deal’s expiration date.

The Premier League and Champions League-winning defender is nearing the conclusion of his current contract, and concerningly for Reds fans, there has been a deafening lack of information surrounding an extension thus far.

This will provide challenges for newly appointed sporting director Richard Hughes and his new employer, FSG CEO of Football Michael Edwards, as they work to establish the framework for the era following Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool may have to consider moving the 25-year-old during the upcoming transfer window if a new contract cannot be reached, or else they run the risk of losing him for nothing come summertime.
