Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, has responded to Wayne Rooney after the Old Trafford icon stated that some of the players who are now out due to injury are capable of playing but are choosing to save themselves.

Wayne Rooney’s assertion that certain injured Manchester United players are still capable of playing but are hiding away has drawn retaliation from Erik ten Hag.

Injury has ruined United’s season; ten players are presently out of the lineup for Wednesday night’s Old Trafford match against Newcastle.

The record goalscorer for United, Wayne Rooney, stated that some of the injured players can still participate since they are reserving their energy for the FA Cup final and Euro 2024.

Ten Hag, however, brushed off Rooney’s assertion, stating that all of his injured players are making every effort to return to action as soon as possible.

Ten Hag remarked, “I think you have to see here in Carrington the players are desperate to play.” “I see Bruno Fernandes, who passed a test on Sunday to be eligible to play, and I see Licha Martinez. Marcus Rashford exerted all effort possible.

“Last week, he attempted to workout but was unsuccessful. Players strive to be in the best possible shape because they are so eager to play.

Victor Lindelof and Raphael Varane are also seen; they are preparing for the championship match by practicing. They exert all of their effort.

Ten Hag anticipates that defender Martinez, who has only made 11 appearances so far this season, will be included in the matchday roster on Wednesday. Rapahel Varane, who declared he would quit United at the conclusion of the campaign, may make a comeback against Brighton on Sunday in the season’s final league game.
