Chelsea’s enormous expenditure under Todd Boehly shows no signs of slowing down, and the club is still anxious to improve on last season’s sixth-place Premier League performance.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has already arrived at Stamford Bridge this summer, joining new manager Enzo Maresca from Leicester City, where they won the Championship last season.
Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo.

However, more needs to be done to strengthen the ranks, with the Italian eager to add to his team, as evidenced by ties with Barcelona centre-back Ronald Araujo.

The Uruguayan is also attracting interest from Premier League rivals Manchester United, with either team willing to pay €100 million (£84.5 million) for his services this summer.

Araujo isn’t the only player being pursued by the two sides; Maresca and Erik ten Hag have also expressed interest in another player.

Chelsea are interested in recruiting £35 million talent this summer.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Chelsea has scouted Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez as a prospective left-back for next season.Milos Kerkez

The Hungarian, who has represented his country at Euro 2024, had previously piqued Manchester United’s attention, although neither club has made a formal approach for the 20-year-old player.

Kerkez, who joined the Cherries for £15 million last summer, made 33 Premier League games last season, adapting right into life in England’s top level.

Jacobs claimed that Bournemouth are hesitant to sell their outstanding teenager and value him at approximately £35 million – an attractive price for Maresca’s team.

He fits nicely into Boehly’s current recruitment strategy, which involves signing brilliant young players with enormous potential, with Kerkez’s abilities potentially allowing one current Blues player to reach his full potential next season.

Why Kerkez might finally spark Mudryk’s Chelsea career.
Mykhailo Mudryk, a winger who previously played for Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk, joined Chelsea for a whopping £88.5 million in January 2023.

However, his time in London has been far from fruitful, with only seven goals in 58 appearances for the club since his big-money move.

He’s been unsettled at times, failing to make a significant impression on games, but if Kerkez arrives at Stamford Bridge, the Ukrainian international might reap the benefits and begin to resemble the man Boehly signed 18 months ago.

As a full-back, the Hungarian’s primary task is to reclaim possession for his side, which he excelled at last season, winning an average of 2.2 tackles per game in the Premier League.Mudryk for Chelsea in the Champions-League

The “incredible” Kerkez, as defined by talent scout Jacek Kulig, also proved his defensive abilities, recording 0.9 interceptions per 90 minutes and 1.4 blocks to assist Antonio Iraola’s team finish 12th.

However, he’s also impressed with his aggressive offensive style, completing an average of two progressive passes per 90 and 2.1 progressive carries, showcasing his eagerness to move ahead at each opportunity.

His direct playstyle allows him to overlap the wideman on the left side, which could help Mudryk, who likes to slide inside onto his preferred right foot.

The Ukrainian just hasn’t done enough to deliver value for money since his move to the club, and the upcoming season is vital in

Injuries to Marc Cucurella and Ben Chilwell have impeded his progress, leaving Mudryk unable to form a reliable combination down that side of Chelsea’s attack.

However, if Kerkez joins the club, it might serve as a springboard for the 23-year-old’s success, while the club can finally address the left-back position, which has brought them several problems in recent years.
