Newcastle’s ‘amazing gesture’ ahead of the new home kit unveiling

NEWCASTLE will donate £5 to charity for each home shirt sold this summer.

The donation will be made to the Newcastle United Foundation and will “directly benefit programmes throughout the community.”

The highly awaited 2024/25 home shirt will be presented at 8 a.m. on Friday, June 17, kicking off a new multi-year collaboration that reunites adidas and Newcastle United for the first time in over a decade.

The donation to the foundation will be limited to home shirts purchased directly from the club’s store or online store.

For adult shirts, the donation will be the net VAT value of £5 of the purchase price, which is £4.17 per shirt, while junior shirts that are VAT exempt will receive the entire £5 donation.

When we discussed our new retail operations with the club’s Fan Advisory Board, they urged us to think about how we could use this critical opportunity to serve our community, and I’d want to thank them for initiating this concept.

“By purchasing a home shirt directly from the club, our fans will be contributing significantly to the incredible work that the Newcastle United Foundation does every day in the North East.”
